Blemishes, spots, stretches, and scars are breaking through the polished surface of the once ‘ideal’ image of female beauty, defined by antiquity and perpetually reinforced by Manet, Kim K selfies, Playboy. Flowing through the static cracks is the voice of the female artist, that echoes among the ruins of once objectified curves, breaking for-
ward to the space of empowerment, where bodies morph and surpass the borders of normality.
